With Mother’s Day fast approaching on May 9th, many Americans have already begun looking for that perfect gift or two for the mothers in their lives. National Retail Federation is projecting Mother’s Day spending to eclipse $28 billion in 2021.
To better understand how American consumers are approaching this year’s Mother’s Day shopping, we compiled search data from Google and surveyed 1050 US consumers to find out what they are buying, where they are buying it and how much they are spending.
Below you will find the most searched for Mother’s Day gifts in each state and key findings using the data obtained from the survey we conducted. For the purpose of this study, we surveyed 1050 US consumers to find out how they are planning to do Mother’s Day shopping in 2021. The survey was conducted through SurveyMonkey services. For state by state breakdown, we compiled search data from Google Trends and ranked search terms with the highest volume that relate to Mother’s Day gifts.
